Patricia M Speck DNSc, CRNP, FNP-BC, AFN-C, FAANP
Dr. Speck is a professor at University of Alabama, Birmingham. She develops policy, evaluates programs and builds nursing workforce capacity through publication, education, and violence prevention initiatives. Her research interests focus on gender-based violence, forensic nurse practices including trauma-informed interventions. Dr. Speck was invited to testify before the United Nation on the topic of human trafficking, in support of the World Health Organization’s adoption of an evidence-based global protocol. She served as president and founding member of the International Association of Forensic Nurses and was awarded the American Academy of Forensic Science Virginia Lynch Innovation Award.
