Deanna L. Gray-Miceli PhD, GNP-BC, CRNP, FAANP, FGSA, FAAN
Deanna Gray-Miceli, a gerontological nurse practitioner, has worked for over 20 years in clinical practice, concentrating on care of frail elders and older institutionalized adults. She has developed several innovative programs to address the needs of frail elders, including a fall assessment and prevention program, fall prevention resources and evidenced-based innovations. Within her practice, she has integrated teaching and research and has more than 17 years of faculty appointments in graduate departments of nursing and medical schools. She has influenced numerous health care providers through educational presentations, publications and research on issues of frailty, falls, and dementia. Her research centers on the prevention of falls among older adults, development of technology to assess balance in older adults at risk for falls and health services research. Dr. Gray-Miceli is the recipient of a 2002-2004 Post-Doctoral scholarship from the John A. Hartford Foundation.
