Elizabeth Marie Galik PhD, CRNP, FAANP
Dr. Galik is an adult nurse practitioner that specializes in the care of older adults with dementia. She is an Associate Professor at the University of Maryland School of Nursing, where she teaches in the Adult/Gerontological Primary Care Nurse Practitioner program and maintains a clinical practice in dementia symptom management. Dr. Galik conducts research to test the impact of interventions designed to optimize physical function, activity, mood and behavior of individuals with dementia. She has authored peer reviewed articles and book chapters on dementia, and has served as an expert advisor to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid.
