Kathy J Trotter DNP, FAANP,FAAN
Dr. Trotter is an Associate Professor at the Duke University School of Nursing who is dually certified in midwifery and as an FNP. Her practice has focused on women's health particularly within the context of shared medical appointments. She established the first breast cancer survivorship clinic at Duke Cancer Center, and is a national consultant for the Centering Healthcare model. Dr. Trotter received the Chapter Innovation Award from Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society, and completed a Fellowship with the Experienced Nurse Faculty Leadership Academy. She is the lead faculty for the Women's Health Nurse Practitioner major at Duke University and remains in active clinical practice. Her most recent innovation is adapting the Centering Model to a population at high risk for breast cancer. She is studying anxiety levels of these women.
