Kathleen Golden DNP, MSN, ANP-BC,COHN-S, CCM, FAAOHN, FAANP
Dr. Kathleen Golden is board certified as an Adult Nurse Practitioner and a Certified Occupational Health Nurse Specialist. She is a Fellow of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and a past National Vice President and Fellow of the American Association of Occupational Health Nurses, with more than 30 years of experience in advanced practice nursing, occupational and environmental health, and workforce development.
Dr. Golden is actively engaged in national leadership, presenting on worker and workplace health and contributing to the advancement of nurse practitioner practice through mentorship and professional service. She serves as Co-Chair of the AAOHN Foundation and participates in the AANP Fellows Mentorship Program, supporting the development of emerging nurse leaders.
Her ongoing contributions to occupational and environmental health include serving as a journal reviewer, an invited NIOSH/NORA research site reviewer, and a member of the ABOHN EDAC committee.
Her scholarly work focuses on the role of senior nursing faculty in mentorship, stewardship, and professional legacy, with an emphasis on academic–practice partnerships and sustaining the nursing workforce.
Dr. Golden is an Assistant Professor at Samuel Merritt University, where she teaches and mentors Family Nurse Practitioner and Doctor of Nursing Practice students, chairs doctoral projects, and maintains an active clinical faculty practice. She also consults in occupational and environmental health, supporting program development, clinical practice, and workforce initiatives.
