Kathleen Golden DNP, ANP-BC,COHN-S, CCM, FAAOHN, FAANP
Dr. Kathleen Golden is board certified as an Adult Nurse Practitioner and a Certified Occupational Health Nurse Specialist. She is a past National Vice President and Fellow of the American Association of Occupational Health Nurses (AAOHN). With more than 30 years of experience, Dr. Golden has made sustained contributions to occupational and environmental health and advanced nursing practice through leadership, education, and service.
Dr. Golden has held multiple academic leadership and faculty appointments and is recognized for her work in teaching, mentoring, and coaching nurses and nurse practitioners across academic and clinical settings. She remains actively engaged in national professional leadership, contributing as a journal editor and reviewer, conference presenter, author, and volunteer on boards and committees that support nursing excellence and workforce development.
She currently serves as an Assistant Professor and Clinical Practice Lead at Samuel Merritt University, where she teaches and mentors Family Nurse Practitioner and Doctor of Nursing Practice students and chairs doctoral projects. Her work is grounded in a commitment to advancing health equity, professional development, and high-quality care in underserved communities.
In addition, Dr. Golden maintains a part-time occupational and environmental health consulting practice focused on education, policy development, clinical consultation, and program leadership.
