Jane Faith Kapustin PhD, CRNP, BC-ADM, FAANP, FAAN
Dr. Kapustin, former professor, assistant dean for master's and DNP programs at University of Maryland School of Nursing, maintained a faculty practice at the University of MD Diabetes Center in Baltimore. Currently she is practicing in an endocrinology practice, managing complex patients with diabetes and endocrine disorders. She manages advanced technology with patients such as CGM, insulin pumps and Insulin delivery devices at her three clinics outside of Washington DC. She received BSN at Towson University, masters at University of Maryland, Baltimore and PhD (health policy) at University of Maryland, Baltimore County. She has numerous publications on diabetes management, mentoring, endocrine disorders, NP policy issues and has made 100+ presentations at local, regional and national conferences. Currently, she serves as co-chair for the Endocrine Community with AANP and is a frequent speaker at AANP national conferences. Dr. Kapustin holds leadership positions in policy in Maryland, and she served 2 terms as secretary for NONPF. She has received several awards including AANP NP State Excellence Award in 2006 and AANP Clinical Abstract Award in 2008, 2010 and 2011.
