Nancy K Zaner MSN, RN, FNP-BC, FAANP, MBA
Nancy Zaner currently works as a Senior Vice President of Clinical Services for WellBe Senior Medical Care which focuses its mission on in home primary geriatric care. Previously she worked as a Regional Vice President supporting home based palliative care services for Aspire Healthcare and she helped start the retail clinic industry in 2005 During her time in the industry she helped to supervise clinic operations regionally for several states for both Walgreens as a Regional Vice President of Operations and CVS as an Area Director of Operations.
Nancy has a Master's degree in Nursing, is certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, and has a Master's in Business Administration. During her 25 years of experience in nursing she has worked several years in key management and clinical positions. Primary responsibilities in her nurse practitioner roles have included a special interest in chronic disease management. Administrative functions in previous roles included program development and implementation, fiscal and evaluation oversight including quality assurance, staff supervision, and project management.
Additional areas of interest for Nancy include time she spent as a HRSA scholar serving in an indigent care clinic and her professional memberships in the AANP, MONA/ANA, and the Maternal Child Health Coalition. She has a special interest in legislative efforts supporting the role of the nurse practitioner in the delivery of patient care. She has worked in conjunction with nurse practitioners across the state of Missouri that worked to form an NP legislative interest group and works closely to support state level efforts with MONA to promote interests of advanced practice nurses. Nancy has also supported the AANP and its role for advanced practice and has served two prior terms as the Missouri AANP state representative.
Nancy resides in Kansas City, Missouri and enjoys being active with her community and church. She is passionate about the value of volunteerism and the opportunity to give back to the community. She maintains a voluntary membership in the Friends of Lakeside Nature Center (FOLNC) and volunteers regular hours in the wildlife rehabilitation center providing care to injured wildlife and working directly to support the efforts of this organization.
