Dr. Virginia Carreira is currently employed as a nurse practitioner in the Long Branch School District. She has a long history of identifying health issues that confront the school-aged population and meeting the needs through program development, support, and education to change population health. Her leadership is seen with policy in serving on boards of both FNAP and Sigma Theta Tau as well as membership and committee work in multiple organizations. She has expanded her scope lecturing internationally on programs that she has developed. She has received awards acknowledging her clinical practice, leadership and mentorship
