Kymberlee A Montgomery DNP, APRN, WHNP-BC, CNE, FAANP, FAAN
Dr. Kymberlee Montgomery is an Associate Clinical Professor at Drexel University and holds a joint appointment in the College of Nursing and Health Professions and College of Medicine. She serves as the Senior Associate Dean of Nursing and Student Affairs and is a board certified, practicing Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. She has been named a Fellow of the American Academy of Nurses and the AACN/Wharton Executive Leadership Academy. Dr. Montgomery is also a Scholar in Sigma Theta Tau International Nurse Faculty Leadership Academy.
As the founder of Drexel University Partnership for Interprofessional Education (IPE), Dr. Montgomery created an innovative, award-winning IPE curriculum utilizing novel learning modalities, multi-fidelity simulation, and structured debriefing that has been adopted by colleges, universities, and medical centers nationwide. Her work has been disseminated through peer reviewed journal publications, national multi-disciplinary conferences, and international presentations in Russia, Korea, and Canada. She is a consultant to the National Center for Interprofessional Practice and has been funded by the Macy Foundation on two occasions to design case-based simulation curriculum for collaborative practice and professionalism. Dr. Montgomery created the first nurse-led interdisciplinary Colposcopy course, training over 500 clinicians worldwide to diagnose and prevent cervical cancer. Dr. Montgomery is also the lead Nurse Practitioner for a Rotary International grant to reduce maternal and neonatal mortality through the development of an online, competency based curriculum for nursing faculty and midwives in Uganda.
Dr. Montgomery received a BSN degree at Thomas Jefferson University, a MSN degree at the University of Pennsylvania, and a DNP degree from Drexel University.
