Sheila D Melander PhD, ACNP-BC, FCCM, FAANP, FAAN
Dr. Melander is currently a Professor, Assistant Dean and Director of Doctoral Studies at The University of Kentucky College of Nursing. Dr. Melander teaches in the Acute and Critical Care Department in the DNP and ACNP programs. She has taught for over 18 years and her specialty is cardiovascular nursing. She as well has practiced in a private cardiology practice for the past 7 years. She has been active nationally promoting the ACNP efforts toward providing expert competent clinical care. Dr. Melander currently serves as the President of The National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties (NONPF).
