D'Ann Somerall DNP, MAEd, CRNP, FNP-BC, FAANP
Dr. D’Ann Somerall created the first nurse-managed primary care clinic at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Nursing. She provides care for residents of a substance abuse residential facility, and introduces students to this topic through engaging and interactive instruction methods, increasing student engagement and academic/board success. As a result of her efforts, the UAB FNP program was recognized as a top tier program. Dr. Somerall recently received the UAB President’s Award for Excellence in Teaching. She currently serves as an Associate Professor at the university of Alabama at Birmingham
