Kristine A Scordo PhD, APRN, ACNP, FAANP
Dr. Kristine Scordo is professor emerita. She is the former and director of the acute care NP program at Wright State University, College of Nursing. She has practiced as an Acute Care NP with a focus in cardiology in Dayton, OH and is currently working at TriHealth Hospitals, Cincinnati in the Infectious Disease Group. She received over a million dollars in funding from HRSA to establish the first ACNP program at Wright State University and an ACNP subspecialty in cardiology. As a long-time advocate for APNs, she is activity involved in legislation to advance the practice of Ohio's NPs. Her work with community leaders has increased the visibility of and demand for ACNPs in Ohio. Her research area is non-drug symptom management for patients with mitral valve prolapse syndrome. She is an active member of AANP, serving as an annual faculty presenter and as a member of the acute care special interest group forum. She is a speaker for multiple nursing conferences and is a CCNE site visitor for colleges and nursing fellowships.
I am not retired, as I continue to work part time in ID at TriHealth Hospitals in Cincinnati. :-)
