Rita F D'Aoust PhD, ACNP, ANP-BC, CNE, FAANP, FNAP
Dr. Rita Ferrari D'Aoust is the Associate Dean for Teaching and Learning at Johns Hopkins School of Nursing. She is the Interim Director for the Advanced Practice and DNP Programs. She holds a joint appointment in the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, Department of General Internal Medicine. She is a member of the American College of Surgeons, Committee on Interprofessional Education and Practice. She is Chair, Board of Commission, Certified Academic Nurse Educator Program, National League for Nursing.
She has a history in education innovation having developed innovative nursing programs and interprofessional initiatives, supported with multiple grant funding. She has led the development of online education. She has been instrumental in initiating the creation of simulation and education technology centers. She leads the effort to develop clinical competency development and assessment in nursing practitioner education using the RIME model, including an advanced diagnostic and clinical procedures course.
Rita has received several honors and awards and is noted for her expertise health access for vulnerable populations, geriatric health, veteran health, interprofessional education, and community service.
