Margaret M Flinter APRN, PhD, FNP-C, FAAN, FAANP
Margaret Flinter is the Sr. VP and Clinical Director of the Community Health Center, Inc. A family nurse practitioner since 1980, she leads numerous primary care initiatives and serves as the national co-chair of the LEAP project. She has led the development of postgraduate training programs for new primary care NPs. She is a past president of the Connecticut Nurses Association, chairs the Expert Panel on Primary Care of the American Academy of Nursing, and writes and lectures widely on primary care transformation. She is the co-host of a weekly radio show, Conversations on Health Care, which has interviewed hundreds of thought leaders in health policy, technology, and innovation since 2009.
Margaret earned her BSN from the University of Connecticut, her MSN from Yale University, and her PhD from the University of Connecticut. She was the recipient of a Robert Wood Johnson Executive Nurse Fellowship (2002) and is a former National Health Service Corps Scholar.
