Darlene Byrd DNP, APN, FAANP
Ms. Byrd has 21 years experience in nursing including 13 years as an Advanced Practice Nurse. She received a Bachelors of Arts degree from Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, her BSN and MNSc from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, Arkansas and holds national certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the ANCC.
She has served eight years on the Arkansas State Board of Nursing and is currently serving on the National Advisory Committee for Rural Health and Human Services. She will complete her DNP degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in May 2011.
