Julie Ann Marfell DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, FAANP
Dr. Julie Marfell is a family nurse practitioner and a leader in nursing education. Dr. Marfell work has focused on the care of the underserved populations and the education of advanced practice registered nurses. She is an administrator, a faculty member and maintains a clinical practice. Dr. Marfell's contributions to advance practice nursing includes her leadership in nursing education, service on the Board of Directors for the National Organization of Nurse Practitioners and the Kentucky Coalition of Nurse Practitioner and Nurse- Midwives, as a task force member for NONPF NP Core Competencies workgroup (2017,2014, 2012, 2011), Population-Focused Competencies for Nurse Practitioners, leader for Family Across the Lifespan (2013), member for Adult Gero Acute and Primary Care (2016), as a mentor (2016-17) and faculty advisor (2018- current) for Sigma Theta Tau Emerging Education Administrator Institute, BOD, Kentucky Nurses Action Coalition and her continued work in clinical practice.
