Leslie L Davis PhD, RN, ANP-BC, FAAN, FAANP, FACC, FAHA, FPCNA
Dr. Davis is an Associate Professor of Nursing at UNC-Chapel Hill. She earned her BSN, MSN, and PhD in nursing from UNC-Chapel Hill. She has maintained a part-time clinical practice in cardiology since becoming a nurse practitioner. Her research focuses on improving self care behaviors in women with cardiovascular conditions, including improving symptom recognition and interpretation in women with a history of acute coronary syndrome. Dr. Davis is nationally recognized for her leadership and expertise in cardiology by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, the American College of Cardiology, the American Heart Association, and the Preventive Cardiovascular Nurses Association. Dr. Davis has authored or coauthored numerous book chapters, articles, and expert consensus documents on various cardiovascular topics. In the past, she was inducted as one of the Great 100 Nurses of North Carolina.
