Mari Zo DeMarchi RN, CNP, FAANP
Mari Zo DeMarchi, RN, CNP, FAANP, was a founding member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and was on the board of directors when the organization was formed, serving as region 6 director and communications secretary. Following her 5 years of volunteer service, Ms Demarchi became the first official staff person for AANP in 1989, serving as the Executive Secretary and then Director of Association Services for 23 years. Ms Demarchi's extensive contacts within the health care industry fostered communication and opportunities for AANP.
Ms. DeMarchi has long advocated for high quality educational and networking opportunities to promote high quality NP care for patients. Among her many contributions, her efforts have focused on creating and growing the AANP National Conference as the premier conference for NPs of all specialties, from the novice to the experienced NP.
Ms DeMarchi was also a founding member of the Austin Area NP Alliance, Texas Nurse Practitioners and the Coalition of Nurses in Advanced Practice in her home state of Texas.
