Barbara J Berner EdD, FNP, ANP, FAANP
Dr. Berner has been actively practicing nurse practitioner for twenty-seven years at a nurse practitioner owned and operated family practice clinic. She is Interim Director of the School of Nursing, University of Alaska Anchorage.
She is a past president of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, the Alaska Nurse Practitioners Association, and the Alaska State Board of Nursing.
In addition to her teaching and administrative roles, Dr. Berner has volunteered for sixteen years as a nurse practitioner at the Reproductive Health Clinic, Municipality of Anchorage that targets services to the underserved. She is chairperson of the Board of Directors for the Alaska Youth and Parent Foundation.
