Dianne J Willer-Sly DNP, APRN, CNP, FAANP
Dr. Dianne Willer-Sly is a Clinical Assistant Professor Ad Honorem at the University of Minnesota. In 1986, she was a founding board member of the Austin Area Nurse Practitioner Alliance and in 1989 became a founding board member of Texas Nurse Practitioners. Subsequently, she helped to establish Minnesota Nurse Practitioners in 2009, of which she was President 2015-2019. Dr. Willer-Sly initiated the NP role within the Texas Department of MHMR in 1991. She was a practice leader at HealthPartners Geriatrics – a group of 80 NPs who lead NP/physician teams serving 4000 patients from 1999-2019. In 2008, she was named a Hartford Geriatric Nursing Education Scholar. She taught in the adult-gerontological DNP program at the University of Minnesota 2013-2018. She fully retired from teaching and clinical practice in 2019. Her practice and research areas of interest and expertise are in geriatric care and care for persons with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
