Priscilla Jane Powers MSN, APRN-BC, FAANP
CAPT Powers is a family NP and the Director, Office of Health Services, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), and senior Dive Medical Officer, NOAA Diving Program. She is a commissioned officer in the United States Public Health Service and her major focus is currently family practice and diving medicine. Before coming to NOAA, she served the Indian Health Service as the Director of the IHS Child Abuse Project. She has been recognized for this work and received numerous awards including the Indian Health Service Directors Award for Excellence and the Mabel May Wagner Nursing Award, among others. She pioneered the first child abuse telemedicine project in Utah. She has developed numerous programs to improve care to children and her work extends to 13 sites across the country.
