Claudia Joy Beckwith MSN, FNP-BC, FAANP
Claudia Beckwith was in clinical practice since 1984. She worked at a Federally Qualified Health Center in Iowa. Her clinical work focused on providing patient-centered care to a diverse, primarily low income population. She taught women’s health and has mentored numerous NPs who now work with underserved clients. She was a founding Mother of Iowa Nurse Practitioner Society, initiated its legislative program, and served as Treasurer and President. She also served for four years on the ACNP Board, Nominations Committee for AANP, and served as the Iowa State Representative. She actively involves NPs in the legislative process.
