Donnie T Scoggin FNP, FAANP
Donnie Scoggin, FNP, FAANP, is the senior nurse practitioner at Ellisville Medical Clinic in Ellisville, Mississippi. He represents District 89 in the Mississippi House of Representatives as the first nurse practitioner to serve in the State House. Donnie is an adjunct clinical nurse practitioner faculty. He was the first nurse practitioner in his hometown and was instrumental in recruiting more nurse practitioners to this rural area. He works to enact legislation that will remove barriers to practice and allow full practice authority. He presents at the state and national levels and promotes nurse practitioners becoming politically active. He was the AANP 2018 Mississippi Advocate of the Year and received the Mississippi Nurses' Association Nurse Practitioner of the Year Award in 1995.
