Dr. Balkon is a Clinical Associate Professor-Stony Brook University School of Nursing and NP since 1977, is a clinician, educator, leader, lecturer, consultant, author, and researcher with expertise in adult and behavioral medicine, clinical pharmacology, patient and medication safety, and information technology.National activities include service as AANP Southern New York Representative, participation in AANP's Certification Exam Construction and Leadership Fellowship/Health Policy Programs, appointment to the New York State DOH Medicaid Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee and to the Error Data Analysis Ad Hoc Advisory Panel of the Safe Medication Use Expert Committee, United States Pharmacopoeia.
