Lorraine W Bock DNP, FNP-BC, ENP-BC, FAANP
Dr. Lorraine Bock has been an NP since 1994 and owned her own practice, Bock CRNP Services from 1999-2013, mentoring more than 50 NP students. She is the former Director of Legislative Health Services for the Pennsylvania General Assembly in Harrisburg and was the first NP to serve in this role. Dr. Bock received her NP education at the University of Pennsylvania and her DNP from Robert Morris University. Her work in NP advocacy resulted in Highmark Blue Shield, the number one commercial insurer in Pennsylvania, changing its policy in 2011 to recognize NP owned practices as primary care providers. Her expertise in caring for the LGBT community has created several unique patient-centered practice environments expanding their access to quality care. Her company, Bock CRNP Services, PC, provides consulting services to hospitals, healthcare organizations, attorneys, and government regarding the role and utilization of nurse practitioners. BCRNP also provides NP's via contract to a variety of clinical settings. Dr. Bock served as the President of the PA Coalition of Nurse Practitioners from 2013-2017 and spearheaded their quest for Full Practice Authority. Dr. Bock is involved in a number of entrepreneurial ventures including the National Nurse Practitioner Entrepreneur Network. She has lectured locally, statewide, nationally and internationally on a variety of topics including emergency care and nurse practitioner advocacy.
