Joyce E Dains DrPH, JD, APRN, FNP-BC, FNAP, FAANP, FAAN
Dr. Dains is Professor and Executive Director of Advanced Practice at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. She maintains a clinical practice in the Cancer Prevention Center as a family NP. She is an internationally recognized author of award winning textbooks. Dr. Dains has developed innovative initiatives to enhance advanced practice nursing education to improve patient care practices. A diploma graduate, she earned a BS in Nursing from Boston College, an MSN from Case Western Reserve University, and a DrPH from the University of Texas-Houston. Dr. Dains also holds a JD and practiced law for a brief period.
