Dr. Budd, a nurse researcher, clinician, and educator, has been a family NP for 14 years. She has worked in college health, a rural nursing center, and family planning.
In 2001 she obtained her PhD at Duquesne University and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania where she began her research program in childhood obesity treatment. She has produced research and published extensively on this topic and on other clinical and policy topics of importance to nurse practitioners.
She practices with underserved women at a community clinic and is Assistant Dean and Nurse Practitioner coordinator at Widener University in Harrisburg, PA.
