Sharon E Lock PhD, APRN, FNP-BC, FAANP, FAAN
Dr. Lock is Professor Emeritus at the University of Kentucky College of Nursing. She was previously Assistant Dean of Faculty Practice and Clinic Director of the University of Kentucky College of Nursing Phyllis D. Corbitt Community Health Center in Wilmore, KY. She was coordinator of the Primary Care Nurse Practitioner program for 16 years. Dr. Lock provided leadership for the first Doctor of Nursing Practice program in the country and taught in the program since it began in 2001. She is an active member of the National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties and was a member of the 2006 National Panel for Nurse Practitioner Doctoral Competencies. She has served as co-chair of the NONPF Program Directors Special Interest Group.
