Michael L Mistric PhD, APRN, FNP-BC, FAANP
Dr. Mistric, a RN since 1971 and an APN since 1997, received his PhD in 2008. In 1998, he began working in geriatrics at the Michael E. DeBakey VA and retired in n 2012. A veteran of the Gulf War, he spent over 33 years in the National Guard and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel. He was inducted into the US Army Order of Military Medical Merit and awarded the Texas Army National Guard Lone Star Distinguished Service Medal. Highly recognized for his expertise in geriatrics and his teaching skills, he was an associate clinical professor for the NP programs at Texas Woman's University who retired in 2019 and was awarded Associate Clinical Professor Emeritus.
