Shannon K Idzik DNP, ANP-BC, FAANP, FAAN
Dr. Idzik is an associate professor and associate dean of the DNP program at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. She currently practices at the University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in the CARE center. She received her BSN from York College and MS and DNP from the University of Maryland Baltimore. She has numerous publications and presentations on NP practice and education. She is the past-president for the Nurse Practitioner Association of Maryland, led the Maryland Action Coalition to remove scope of practice barriers for APRNs, received the AANP NP State Award for Excellence in 2012, the NONPF policy award in 2015.
