Dr. VanBeuge has been in nursing Since 1993. She is a Professor at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She was the 2012 AANP Nevada Nurse Practitioner Awardee and received the Nevada Nurses Association 2011 Outstanding Faculty Practice of the Year Award. Dr. VanBeuge is an activist for NPs and patients in Nevada, and was instrumental in achieving full practice authority in Nevada in 2013. Dr. VanBeuge was appointed as a member of the Nevada State Board of Nursing in 2015 and currently serves as an RN board member. Dr. VanBeuge served as the area 1 Director to the National Council State Boards of Nursing Board of Directors (2021-2023). Dr. VanBeuge served as the Nevada State Representative to AANP from 2014-2018. She practices in the sub-specialty of endocrinology and is a national speaker on topics related to endocrine and health policy.
