Barbara Sinni-McKeehen MSN, ARNP, DNC, FAANP
Barbara Sinni-McKeehen has served her local community through membership on community projects and hospital committees, volunteering for events such as the Horses for Handicapped Program, community skin cancer screenings, annual cancer awareness fairs, hospital-based patient education and the cancer committees, and mentoring colleagues in many clinical areas. She was appointed to the first Professional Standards Board Subcommittee her facility for the purpose of reviewing credentials, supervisory annual evaluations, and collaborative agreements for NPs applying for or renewing privileges. Ms Sinni-McKeehen was invited by Ambassador Tours, a program started by Eisenhower in the 1950's to foster international relations, to be among the first group of health care professionals to enter mainland Communist China, where they visited large medical and nursing universities, small medical clinics, and rural barefoot clinics for the purpose of sharing of professional ideologies. She has interacted with the British Dermatology Nurses' Association via mail, phone and has visited their conferences to assist in their educational presentations.
