Linnea M Axman DrPH, MSN, FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC, FAANP
Dr. Axman was selected to be the Associate Dean for Doctoral and Undergraduate Studies in the College of Nursing at the University of Phoenix on December 1, 2021. Prior to that she was lecturer and assistant professor at California State University San Marco. She retired from 25 years of active duty Naval service in 2010. Among her many leadership positions she was regional and local research integrity program director and DoD Core Team Representative on the U.S. Government Team for the Presidents Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief in sub Saharan Africa.
Dr. Axman began her professional career upon graduating from Hurley Medical Center School of Nursing with a Diploma in Nursing in 1977. Graduating Summa cum Laude, she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of Michigan in 1981, a Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Kentucky in 1992, the Doctor of Public Health Degree in May 2003 from George Washington University in Washington, DC and most recently (December 2020) a post masters certificate as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from the University of Cincinnati.
