Karen Elaine Greco PhD, MN, RN, FAAN, FAANP
Dr. Karen Greco currently volunteers as a primary care NP at several sites in her community. She has a doctorate in gerontology and experience working for Providence ElderPlace caring for an older population. She has over 20 years experience in cancer genetics as an APRN. A pioneer in genomics nursing, she continues to help define, guide, and shape genomics nursing practice and the APRN role in genomics globally. Her contributions include leadership in defining, developing and disseminating advanced practice genomics nursing competencies, scope and standards of genetics/genomics nursing practice, and portfolio credentialing of genetics nurses and in the U.S and other countries. She is past president of the International Society of Nurses in Genetics and has received numerous awards for her genomics nursing contributions.
