Nancy M George PhD, RN, FNP-BC, FAANP
Dr. Nancy M. George, a family nurse practitioner for over 32 years, is a Professor (Clinical) and the Graduate Specialty Coordinator for the FNP program and former Director of DNP Programs at Wayne State University, College of Nursing. She is a member and former chair of the Nursing Practice Corporation Board that oversees the faculty practice plan that manages two nurse managed centers. Dr. George is a graduate of Michigan Technological University, Bronson School of Nursing and earned her MSN and PhD from the University of Michigan. She is a Current Membership Chair, and Past-President of the Michigan Council of NPs, immediate past MICNP PAC chair and Michigan APRN Coalition Chair. She has received numerous awards including the AANP Fellow 2014, NONPF 2013 Outstanding Policy Award and the 2011 AANP NP State Award for Excellence.
