Kimberly B Prado DNP, AGPCNP/ ANP-BC, FAANP
Dr. Prado is an Associate Professor at Rutgers University. Dr. Prado earned her doctoral and master’s degrees at Rutgers University in Adult-Gerontology Primary and Acute Care and is board-certified as an Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner. With over 30 years of experience, Dr. Prado was the first nurse practitioner in cardiology at Morristown Medical Center, where she developed policy and practice guidelines for Nurse Practitioners. Her investigator-led study on low-density lipoprotein particle numbers earned the evidence-based Practice Award from Sigma Theta Tau and led to policy changes at Summit Health. Dr. Prado currently serves as chair of the Northern New Jersey chapter of the Preventive Cardiovascular Nurses Association and was recently featured on their Heart to Heart podcast. Dr. Prado has also been interviewed by Prevention magazine via Apple News, and has authored numerous publications and presented at regional, national, and international conferences.
