COL (R) Reyn Mosier is a graduate of Midland Lutheran College, Fremont, NE (BSN, 1986), Brenau Professional College, Gainesville, GA (M.B.A. 1989), U.S. Army Adult NP Program, Ft Ord, CA, (Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP), 1990), University of Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha, NE (M.S.N., Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), 1998), the Command and General Staff College (2000), Uniformed Services Univ., Bethesda, MD (PhD work, 2004-5). Mr. Mosier has served in his current position as the Deputy to the Commander for Quality 7 Safety at Irwin Army Community Hospital at Fort Riley, KS since 2016. Prior to this assignment, Mr. Mosier served as the Deputy Commander for Nursing & Patient Services, Director of Pain Management Services, and the Director of Quality Management, all at Irwin Army Community Hospital. Other key assignments include: ANP/FNP Internal Medicine Clinic, Ft Hood, TX; Health and Fitness NP for the Army Physical Fitness Research Institute, Carlisle, PA; Director, Primary Acute Care Clinic, Assistant Chief and Acting Chief of Family Practice Services, Director NP residency program, Ft Carson, CO; and Assistant Professor, Deputy Director and then Director of the FNP program, Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS), Bethesda, MD. He is to date the only military director of the FNP program at USUHS. Director, Post-deployment Health Assessment Mission, Kuwait; and Deputy Director and Acting Director, Hospital Education and Training, Chief of Ambulatory Nursing Services (34 outpatient specialty clinics, the Emergency and Occupational Medicine Service), Chief of Air Evacuation Services, Chief of Evening Night supervision and Bed Management, Walter Reed Army Medical Center (WRAMC). He assisted in setting up the first Warrior Transition Unit for the Army at WRAMC. LTC/COL Mosier served as the FNP consultant to the Army Surgeon General managing officer distribution, deployment and practice issues and mentoring all Army Family Nurse Practitioners from 2007-2011. Mr. Mosier is board certified as a FNP and a Fellow of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Colonel (R) Mosier’s awards and decorations include the Legion of Merit, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal (4th Award), the Army Commendation Medal (2nd Award), the Army Achievement Medal (2nd Award) and the 30 year Federal Government Service Award. Mr. Mosier and his wife Susie have three adult children, eight grandchildren and reside in Manhattan, KS.
