Teresa Lynn Tyson DNP, MSN, FNP-BC, FAANP
Dr. Teresa Gardner is an FNP who maintains a clinical practice caring for the uninsured in the rural Appalachia Mountains of Virginia. She received her Doctorate in Nursing Practice from the University of Alabama.
Dr. Gardner has received numerous awards including the AANP Domestic Humanitarian Award as well as the AANP Virginia State Award for Excellence. She was also awarded the Virginia Governor's Award for Volunteerism in regards to her coordination of the nation's largest free health care outreach.
Dr. Gardner has been interviewed on such programs as 60 Minutes, Inside Edition and has received extensive media attention, including international, regarding her efforts to provide access to health care for those in need.
