Dr. Elizabeth Visone’s nursing career spans 40 years of progressively advancing involvement and practice as she pursued her goals in education to earn an MSN and DNP, in practice to obtain dual certification as FNP/ANP, in professional organizations, now serving as the President of Connecticut APRNS, and as an educator. Her clinical practice is based in a rural, underserved community where she sees patients both in a private Internal Medicine practice and also serves as a geriatric NP for a skilled nursing facility. Currently, Dr. Visone is providing home care visit to frail elderly for palliative care and case management. She has mentored generations of RN and NP students, identified clinical problems and developed the evidence to support new interventions, and been a leader in her home state. Experience both policy and clinical in End of Life, Palliative Care, Geriatrics, and Hospice.
