Janie Jane Heath PhD, APRN-BC, FNAP, FAAN, FAANP
Dr. Janie Heath is the Dean and Warwick Professor of Nursing at the University of Kentucky, College of Nursing. She has over 40 years of experience influencing health outcomes for acute and critically ill populations. As a pioneer Acute Care NP educator, clinician and leader, she has specialized in advancing the scholarship of evidence-based tobacco cessation interventions and workforce development. She has been awarded over $12 million for academic and/or research initiatives, generated over 150 publications and abstracts, created NP managed tobacco cessation clinics in Washington DC, Augusta, GA, and Charlottesville, VA and she is the founder of the National Coalition of Nurse Educators for Tobacco Control.
