Sharon Marie Karp PhD, APRN, CPNP-PC, FAANP
Sharon M. Karp, PhD, APRN, CPNP-PC, FAANP is a pediatric nurse practitioner, nurse researcher, and professor at Vanderbilt University School of Nursing in Nashville, Tennessee. Dr. Karp is an expert in early life risk factors for childhood obesity, which informs her clinical expertise as the sole NP provider of pediatric weight management services within the Vanderbilt medical system. She currently serves as co-chair of the Research committee for the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (NAPNAP) and is past chair of the Childhood Obesity SIG. In addition to teaching MSN and DNP students and mentoring graduate students, Dr. Karp routinely precepts NP students.
