Lisa Carole Bayhi DNP, FNP-BC, ACNP-BC, FAANP
Dr. Lisa C. Bayhi APRN, FNP-BC, ACNP-BC, FAANP has practiced in the healthcare arena for over 37 years. She earned a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at Southeastern Louisiana State University, a Masters and Post Masters in Nursing from the University of South Alabama and a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Loyola University New Orleans. Dr. Bayhi holds the honor of induction to the Fellows of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Her clinical interests include providing comprehensive care to patients with chronic disease, orthopedic injuries and palliative care with a focus on improving the lives of patients and families. As an outstanding contributor to health care through clinical practice and healthcare policy, she has numerous scholarly presentations, publications and acts as a legal consultant. She advocates for improving patient access to quality, affordable healthcare as well as for impacting health care practice legislation.
Lisa C. Bayhi is President of the Louisiana Association of Nurse Practitioners and is its Health Policy Chair. Her leadership efforts, organization skills, and grassroots advocacy foundation have been instrumental in reducing barriers to NP practice in Louisiana. She coordinated the most-attended NP Day at the Legislature in 2012 and received the 2013 AANP-State-Award-for-Excellence. She practices in physical medicine and rehabilitation and provides continuing education. She received her BSN in 1999 from Loyola University-New Orleans and her MSN and post-master's degrees in 2001 and 2003 from the University of South Alabama. She is pursuing a DNP at Southeastern Louisiana University.
