Sandra Christensen, MSN, ARNP, FNP-BC, MFOMA, FAANP is an obesity specialist and founder of Integrative Medical Weight Management in Seattle, Washington. Ms. Christensen is a NP leader, presenter, author, and mentor in the field of obesity management. She is involved in projects and initiatives that educate clinicians about obesity treatment. She is a senior AANP Obesity Specialty Practice Group member and trustee of the Obesity Medicine Association and President of the Washington Obesity Society. She is the author of A Clinician’s Guide to Discussing Obesity with Patients. Ms. Christensen is a founding Associate Editor of Obesity Pillars and is a contributing author of the OMA Obesity Algorithm. She was named the 2022 Obesity Medicine Association Clinician of the Year and is also the recipient of the Raymond E. Dietz Meritorious Service Award in 2018 and the Committee Leadership Award in 2019 from the Obesity Medicine Association.
