Michael Lawrence Huggins PhD, EdD, APRN, FAANP
Dr. Huggins began his nursing career at Agostino Gemelli Policlinico in 1985, in Rome, Italy. He obtained his BSN at Bellarmine University in Louisville, Kentucky, and earned his MSN as a gerontological NP at Vanderbilt University. In 2004, Dr. Huggins completed his EdD and also earned his family NP certificate. In 2005, he opened the Health and Wellness Clinic in Western Louisville. In 2007, Dr. Huggins returned to Bellarmine to start their FNP program. Dr. Huggins joined Seattle University in 2013 as lead faculty in the Adult/Gerontology program. He currently serves as the Associate Professor and Director for Seattle University's PC-AGNP DNP program. He earned his PhD from the University of Kentucky in 2019, with a research focus in "Predictors of satisfaction with health care interactions among gay men."
