Deborah L. Dillon, DNP, RN, CRNP, ACNP-BC, CCRN, CHFN, FAANP, FAAN is a Clinical Associate Professor and the founding Director of Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Program at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Dr. Dillon received her doctorate in nursing practice from the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing at Case Western Reserve University where her research focus was on transition to practice for the acute care nurse practitioner. She has presented nationally and internationally on this topic. Her book, Successful Transition to Practice: A guide for the new nurse practitioner was released in March 2021. In her clinical practice she has advocated at the state and local level to remove practice barriers and assist new nurse practitioners as they transition into practice.
