Dr. Laura Leahy is a Psychiatric & Addictions Advanced Practice Nurse and Master Clinician in Psychopharmacology. In 2020, Dr Leahy was named as a Fellow in the American Academy of Nursing. As a clinician-educator, with expertise in psychopharmacology, substance use disorders, pharmacogenetics & women's mental health, Dr. Leahy has taught psychopharmacology at leading universities, authored two clinical texts, numerous book chapters and journal articles and has been an invited speaker at hundreds of conferences across the nation. She has received countless awards for her innovation & excellence in clinical practice as well as precepting of students. Dr. Leahy is an active member of & holds board appointments to many state & national professional organizations. She is a tireless advocate for full practice authority, responsible prescribing in nursing & nursing efforts to combat the stigma associated with psychiatric & substance use disorders.
