Dr. Ernst is a distinguished AANP Fellow, ANCC nationally board certified Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) & Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC), Public Health Nurse (PHN), and Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) in practice as a researcher, clinician, educator, consultant, and patient advocate. In addition to a multi-faceted career in business, Dr. Ernst has held prior University-level and Veteran's Administration faculty, research (Principal Investigator designation), and Fellowship appointments in Southern California and Nevada. Having published and presented widely in the areas of forensic nursing practice, women's health, emergency medicine, burn & cutaneous toxic exposure management, abuse detection, primary care concerns, and psychiatric disorders across the spectrum, Dr. Ernst is an advocate for all individuals with a dedication to vulnerable and historically under-served populations and for worldwide, societal public health. Dr. Ernst's seminal research related to image quality of digital photography after sexual assault has added to the body of knowledge for advanced Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) practice and improving care for women and men victimized at the hands of others. With a Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) from Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio, Master's in Business Administration (MBA)-- Finance & Marketing from Pepperdine University, Malibu, California, Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) from California State University, Carson, California, and Master's of Science in Pharmacy and Forensic Sciences (MSPharm) from the College of Pharmacy at the University of Florida, Gainesville, Florida Dr. Ernst's research, practice, and innovation activities have been informed and augmented with both formal programs of study in addition to years of ground breaking research, innovation, and clinical practice. Dr. Ernst resides in Southern California and maintains clinical practice, research credentials, and multiple certifications.
