Carmen T Paniagua EdD, MSN, ACNP, AG-ACNP, FAANP
Dr. Paniagua is Board Certified in Adult Gero/Acute Care Nurse Practitioner and Advanced Nurse in Genetics. She completed a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Molecular Genetics at NIH and a Post-Doctoral Traineeship in Interventional Pain Management. Faculty at the College of Medicine, University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and Former Faculty School of Nursing, Medical Science Campus, University of Puerto Rico. Her clinical practice is on Gastroenterology and Hepatology. She also practice in the only level-1 trauma Emergency Department in the state. Another focus of her career is on coding and reimbursement as she is a Certified Procedural Coder (CPC). She has integrated cultural diversity and genetics/genomics into the nursing and medical curricula. She is an active member of the Hispanic community providing charity health care to Hispanics and served as a Commissioner for the Arkansas Health Minority Commission.
