Dr. William J. Brown is a US Army Colonel and Deputy Commander for Nursing at Martin Army Community Hospital, Fort Benning, GA. He has over 26 years of experience as a skilled clinician and nurse scientist, serving in multiple leadership positions in clinical and operational environments. His research focuses on human performance optimization to improve military readiness. He has received over $800,000 in grant funding to support his research and has been directly involved in nine research studies as an AI, site-PI, or mentor with funding exceeding 2 million. Dr. Brown has 15 publications and co-edited a special edition journal supplement. He has been assigned to Army and Veterans Administration workgroups to help shape practice and policy.
