Angela Stanley DNP, MA, APRN, FNP-BC, PHCNS-BC, NEA-BC, FAANP, FAAN
Dr. Angela Y. Stanley serves as an Associate Professor at the George Washington University School of Nursing and practices as a Family Nurse Practitioner providing healthcare for veterans. A retired naval officer with over 20 years of military healthcare leadership experience, she held key positions including Associate Director of Primary Care at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth and Administrative Officer to the Navy Surgeon General.
Dr. Stanley is a Board Member at Large for the National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties (NONPF), 2025-2027, and previously chaired the NONPF Inclusive Excellence Committee, where she led initiatives promoting diversity and equity in NP education nationwide. Her scholarship focuses on telehealth implementation, maternal-child health, and primary care innovations, with recent publications in The Journal for Nurse Practitioners and MCN: The American Journal of Maternal Child Nursing.
Her honors include the Palmetto Gold Award for Nursing Excellence, and she was selected as a Faculty Innovation Fellow for pioneering work integrating avatar-based learning with telehealth education.
